Being offered a replacement at johnlewis on my desktop....?

they have offered me a HP which has intel pentium , or an ACER , which has intel core i3,, but i heard acer is a bad brand, its cheap and breaks down easily. i already had a HP but the acer is more specs, shall i stick to the hp intel pentium? is intel pentium powerful for a desktop?
intel pentium is really really low specs.

personally even with the exact same specs i would take the acer, i have implemented many of their laptops at work, and i have had my own personal acer aspire 3100 for about 4 years now, still works great, i have never had any issues with ANY acer products, had way more with hp, get the acer hands down that processor will be twice as powerful, pentium is the lowest tier of processor that intel still makes,
you can get intel pentium on any computer it is the processing unit for the computer applications

i woulsd go for the acer
on the basis of the processor alone, the core i3 is much faster than the pentium; but what else is on offer eg hard drive size, graphics card?
