I've been reading up on the Conficker worm that's supposed to be hitting on April 1...can these things 'infect' your PC if it's turned off?
The only way a virus or trojan can get into your computer is when 'You Let It' by clicking on an unknown file or downloading illegal games and movies. They aren't free - you pay with your system info.
Have a good Virus detector and a Spyware detector on your system and stay away from 'free stuff' and 'porn' and you'll be safe.
