Why is Firefox continuously freezing?

Hello there.

I have Firefox and every few minutes, it freezes up on me with 'Page not Responding' or whatever.

This is ridiculous.

IE works fine but I don't like it.

I have two toolbars (Google and Yahoo!).

What can I do to make it stop freezing like this?

There's a few possibilities,

1. Virus

2. No AntiVirus

3. Slow Computer

4. Unsubscribed AntiVirus

Could be any of these. I would suggest,

1.running a disc defragmentor

2.disc cleanup

3.antivirus scan

4.restart your computer

5.remove any unwanted or not needed programs that might have harmed your computer

6.install an antivirus

I would think it's because your computer has a virus of some sort or to low on memory.. to fix this you need to keep running scans disc defragments and (disc cleanup (optional)) turn off the computer before you go to bed, go on trips, leave the house.. any of those to not only save power but to save your computer from getting any harmful viruses, trojans and more...

This happened to me. Go to the start menu entry for firefox and start it in safe-mode. If it works fine there then it is one of the extensions. You can then go through them and find which one it is.

If this doesn't work though you'll probably have to reinstall.

try reinstalling the program making sure you download whatever is the newest version. if that dosent work, try another web browser and see if it has the same problem, if it does, consult your internet provider hotline.

hope this helped

why do you have yahoo and google toolbars? remove them, they take more space and slow down the browser, and first of all they look bad with fire fox!
