I want to know what the best ISP is for someone who is an average user and the money is a little bit tight. Comcast is too expensive. Is AT&T any good?
AT&T is good. The bottom of the line broadband is only $20 a month and is upto 768/384 speeds. Unless you are doing massive amounts of downloading or into watching streaming videos 768 down is just fine.
I've been with PacBell-SBC-ATT continously since 1995.
the best provider is relative to your area and to your needs. If you have phone service and cable TV, see if your providers offer a bundle, where you can get a discount for phone, internet and cable TV. If your needs can be met with dial up then your cost would be lower.
